The Business Hub 23rd May 2016 - Clothing, Home working and innovation

This week Tom Kay, the founder of outdoor clothing company Finisterre, based in St Agnes, is on the show to tell us the story behind brand and how they have recently opened a store in Covent Garden in addition to their stores in Cornwall. Andrew Davenport of Focus Technology joins me in the studio to talk about home-working and some other quirky stories he’s noticed across the tech world recently. Plus we hear from Hannah Scoones the Founder of Band-It. Hannah graduated from Falmouth University with a BA in Sustainable Product Design and has gone on to design products for people who are visually impaired to enable greater independence in the home. The concept has been entered into Richard Branson’s VOOM 2016 competition where six finalists will pitch to the man himself to win a share of one million pounds.
